Jerry’s Rogue Jets employs 12 professional Rogue River jet boat pilots. Our current group has been piloting jet boats for us ranging from 6 to over 30 years. Becoming a captain for Jerry’s Rogue Jets is no easy task. Each Jerry’s Jet Boat pilot is a veteran Rogue River boatman and has a vast amount of local knowledge. There is no substitute for first hand experience and these guys have it! The United States Coast Guard requires a Limited Scope Operators License of not more than 25 gross tons of a documented vessel on Inland waterways of the United States. Every five years pilots are re-evaluated by the Coast Guard for license renewal. The Coast Guard requires continuous random drug and alcohol testing to maintain their license.
This group of professional Rogue River jet boat pilots are what makes Jerry’s Rogue Jets special. Their narrative is unscripted and likely to change on a whim. They are excellent wildlife spotters, story tellers and recreational therapists. Above all else, they love being on the Rogue River.
