A day on the Wild and Scenic Rogue River is one you'll remember for years to come. Whether you're joining us for the Whitewater Express, Wilderness Whitewater, or another unforgettable adventure, a little preparation goes a long way toward making your day as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Here's everything you need to know before stepping aboard.

Dress for the Weather, Not the Calendar

Southern Oregon weather can change throughout the day. A cool morning can quickly become a warm afternoon, especially during the summer months.

We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing and dressing in layers. A lightweight jacket or sweatshirt is often perfect for the morning ride, while a T-shirt may be all you need later in the day.

Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended, although sandals with secure straps are also suitable.

Pack Light

There is no need to bring your entire daypack.

A few essentials are all you'll need:

Sunglasses

Reusable water bottle
Any necessary medications

Leave valuable jewelry and unnecessary items safely behind.

Our boats are designed to provide an exciting ride while keeping passengers comfortable. Depending on river conditions, weather, and where you're seated, you may experience a splash now and then—but this isn't a rafting trip.

Every day, every tour, and every experience is dynamic and crafted to meet the theme of the day.

The Ride Is Comfortable for Most Ages

We regularly welcome passengers ranging from young children to guests in their 90s.

Our U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captains are highly trained professionals with years of experience navigating the Rogue River. Safety is always our top priority, and every trip begins with a safety orientation before leaving the dock.

If you have concerns about mobility or physical limitations, please contact our reservation staff before your trip so we can help determine which tour is the best fit.

Meals Along the River

Many of our tours include a stop at Cougar Lane Lodge, where you'll enjoy a freshly prepared meal overlooking the beautiful Rogue River.

Additional beverages, beer, wine, and dessert are available for purchase if you'd like to treat yourself during your visit.
The exception to this regular routine is the Express Whitewater Tour departing at 2:15PM. This tour schedule will stop at Singing Springs Resort for the meal service.
